Renee’ Simon Hebert Benefit

Renee Simon Hebert was diagnosed Mother’s Day 2013 with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Over the last 9 months, she has undergone chemotherapy and a mastectomy. Radiation begins April 1 and will last 6 weeks. This fundraiser is to offset medical costs incurred during treatment.

Renee Simon Hebert is the daughter of David and Lynette Simon of Cow Island. She has been married for 13 years to her husband Draper Hebert, son of Ronald and Lottie Hebert of Nunez. Renee and Draper have four children: Parker, 11; Lainie, 9; Layla, 6; and Riley, 4. The family resides in Cow Island.

The fundraiser is set for June 7, 2014 from 10:00am-7:00pm at Ray and Sis’s Camp, 3 miles south of Kaplan at the corner of Highways 35 south and 335 west. Admission is $5.00, 12 and under, free.

Activities include:
-Live music will be provided by Jaryd Lane, Warren Storm-Willie Tee The Cypress Band, and Geno Delafose. Please bring your own chairs!
-Fun jumps for the children
-Jambalaya, BBQ burgers and hamburgers will be available for purchase.
-Homemade sweets will be sold.
-Beer and soft drinks, please support the cause by leaving your ice chests at home.
-Live and silent auctions throughout the day.
